April 4, 2006Hon. Roy Cullen, P.C., M.P. (Etobicoke North) News ReleaseConservative Throne Speech ignores Canada's Natural Resources sectorOTTAWA - The Honourable Roy Cullen, Member of Parliament for Etobicoke North, and Official Opposition Critic for Natural Resources commented on the fact that the Conservative Throne Speech ignored Canada's Natural Resources sector. "Clearly Prime Minister Harper and this Conservative government do not think that Canada's Natural Resources sector and industries are a top priority -- I think that's a mistake," said Cullen. "I will be challenging them to come clean, and tell us what their vision, or lack there of, entails for this very important sector -- we will hold them accountable to Canadians," said Cullen. Canada's Natural Resources play a vital role in our prosperity as a nation, and impact millions of Canadians daily. This sector-forests, energy, minerals and metals, and landmass, as well as related industries-is one of the most productive, high-tech sectors in the global economy.
